My money is that the author didn't want to sign over any rights to the show and GW didn't want to fund a show that they don't own out right. So its frozen in time until the author gets fired by GW once the TV series fails and moves to Netflix, Prime, etc.

If it has Crossplay and will be releasing to Xbox and PS5, then a mid-range PC spec can run this on medium settings with FSR/DLSS. The minimum spec should be around 1080-2080 while 30 and 40 series can run it on medium or high depending which card you have, a 3060-3070 and 4060-4070 can run it medium to high with FSR/DLSS, 3080-3090 and 4080-4090 can run it on high 4K with FSR/DLSS.

the violence is not the grimdark aspect of it. grimdark is a tone. star wars rogue one had less violence and yet felt extremely grimdark. more than 40k. star wars of all things! space battleship yamato had way more violence than both settings. weapons and planetary and system destruction that rivals war in heaven level feats. multiple literal moon sized bullets tearing into planets and psychic witches trapping people into a realm of time dilated torture where a millions years can pass in a second. and yet felt less grimdark, despite ratcheting up the violence and stakes. grimdark is the bad guys winning and they are proper bad guys, not anti-heroes. grimdark is not an absence of hope, but hope and then its crushed in front of you. grimdark is a world that does not invite adventure. 40k is a world brimming with adventure. 40k has lost it's grimdark if it every truly had it. we hear about corruption but it's only ever mustache twirling planetary governors that are corrupt. we hear about sedition and constant sectarianism, but it's only ever fodder in some random world that rebels and every other notable faction is loyal to a fault. we hear about devilish schemes from pure evil entities, but it's just some flavor of combat. no planetary wide suicide pacts for a cult or raising some condemned group of humans to be raised like livestock for food. no we only eat the dead otherwise that would be too much. you wont see child soldiers in 40k. space marines are super heroes. the fanbase needs to accept that 40k is pg-13. combat violence is always accepted by society and is hardly grim. but that's all 40k offers.

Imagine if we will get the Helldivers 2/Left4 Dead level of quality in PvE and TF2/Overwatch/Titanfall2 level of quality in PvP. Ooh, sweet dreams

I think the reason you can access the traitor legion icons on the loyalist could probably be a subtle way to confirm that there are loyalist chapters that use pure, uncorrupted traitor gene seed. But that's just a theory
